Drop Dead! is the murder mystery Agatha Christie wished she’d written — brought to life by Broadway titan Victoria Le Pewe, director of Amarillo Galileo and Life Beneath the Roses. Le Pewe is back on form after her musical tsunami comedy Wave Goodbye to Daddy tragically failed to last beyond its opening night, refreshed and invigorated from her subsequent stay at Sunshine Meadows rest home and secure unit.
Mona Monet, jewel in the crown of 90s daytime TV, glitters once again as Bette Barrington. Multiple award nominee Brent Reynolds brings Alexander Barrington to life as only he can. And the venerable Constance Crawford delivers an unforgettable Lady Barrington, in what very well might be the last performance of her esteemed career! Introducing British ingenue Candy Apples as the new Lady Penelope, Alexander’s new wife, and Chaz Looney as Drools the butler. Hal Holst is in it too.
How will they all cope now that Daddy’s gone? Will they ever be able to eat Gouda again? And did someone say it looks like snow??
It’s sure to be murder!
Directed by Hollie Warman and Lily Luty
